I designed this session with two main conditions in mind: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Tendonitis.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome occurs when the Median Nerve becomes suppressed or impinged within the "Carpal Tunnel". The Median Nerve is a nerve that originates at the spine, runs all the way down the inner arm and through the "Carpal Tunnel" in the wrist to give you feeling in the thumb, index finger, middle finger and the inside of the ring finger.
The Carpal Tunnel is a passage way that is formed by bones and ligaments that allows the median nerve and tendons to run through, when the tendons become thickened or there is any impingement on the Median Nerve, this will cause the syndrome.
Symptoms of Carpal Tunnel can be tingling, numbness and pain in the hand and can progress to the point where surgery is required. The condition can be caused by repetitive actions such as sitting at a computer and typing or using a mouse and also during pregnancy water retention can impinge on the nerve.
Tendonitis is a general term for any time that the tendons become inflamed, and the same exercises in this tutorial will alleviate symptoms and eliminate pain for both conditions by strengthening, releasing and relieving.
